YOU — (Knock again.) "Hello?"

OLD ABANDONED SHACK — You knock again, gentler this time. Whoever is in there doesn't seem to want to acknowledge your existence.

OLD ABANDONED SHACK — Silence falls all around you. All that is left is the whistle of the wind between the boards of the house.

OLD ABANDONED SHACK — Then suddenly, the door opens and you see the face of the person who lives here.

NEW PERSON — "Hi there!" They wave at you with a cheerful grin. Their voice is higher pitched, but somehow gravelly at the same time.

REACTION SPEED [Easy: Success] — What was that look in their eyes just now?

EMPATHY [Impossible: Failure] — Confusion, probably. They most likely don't get very many visitors.

NEW PERSON — They hold out their hand enthusiastically, waiting for you to shake it. This person seems a little too forthcoming for someone who didn't respond to the first knock.

1.- Inspect the new person.

2.- Take their hand, but don't say anything.

3.- (Take their hand.) "Nice to meet you, uh..."

4.- (Don't take their hand.) "How come you didn't respond when I first knocked?"
